20-Eighteen New Years Day

New Year’s Eve is quite often a non-event for me. I’ll be lucky to make the 9 o’clock fireworks before toddling off to bed to catch some z’s. New Year’s Day is more up my alley – it’s a day to say goodbye to the previous year and start the new one fresh and fun.

This year we got up to all kinds of nonsense, including paddle boarding, jet-skiing, and my personal favourite – Moana Ballet.

As with any other year, we’ve had our disagreements, but 2017, you have been good to me. You’ve given me the opportunity to travel to Tokyo AND America. You’ve been by my side to see new friends and old friends, all of which I am so grateful to say, are good friends. You’ve seen me through an engagement in which I gained a whole new amazing family.

Most importantly you’ve seen all of my family and friends make it through another year.

So thank you, 2017, for spoiling me.

2018 – welcome. I look forward to getting to know you, and I hope that we can be the best of friends, until next year.
